Shopify has raised prices twice in recent years. When you're locked in, you can't negotiate — you pay or you lose access to years of SEO, reviews, and customer data.

Platforms deprecate features when they decide to. If your store relies on an API endpoint or app integration that gets axed, you have no recourse.
You want to move to a cheaper host
On Shopify, you can't. The storefront is theirs. On WooCommerce you can move hosts, but you carry the maintenance burden. On Medusa, the data goes wherever you go.

Medusa is open-source commerce infrastructure. Autofli builds your storefront on top of it. That means everything the platform produces — your catalog, your customers, your orders — lives in a portable format that you control.
Self-hostable
Medusa can run on your own infrastructure. If you ever want to move your store off Autofli's managed hosting, you take the entire codebase and database with you. The storefront doesn't belong to us.
Your customer data is always exportable
Email addresses, order history, customer profiles — export at any time in standard formats. No throttled API exports, no CSV limits, no "contact support to get your data."
Your catalog is standard JSON
Products, variants, pricing, images — all stored in a schema you can work with directly. Import to another platform, build your own tooling, or export for analysis.
No transaction fees beyond Stripe
Shopify charges 0.5–2% on every transaction unless you use Shopify Payments. Autofli charges nothing. You pay Stripe's standard processing fee and that's it.
Open source means no single point of failure
Medusa's codebase is public. If Autofli ever stopped existing — which we don't plan to — your store's technology would still exist and be maintainable by any developer.
